Chicago police are searching for someone who has been robbing CTA Blue Line riders on the West Side.

In each incident, the thief snatched property from the victim on the train or platform, using force if the victim resisted, police said.

At least five robberies happened near the Kedzie-Homan station, 530 S. Kedzie Ave., in Homan Square, police said. An additional robbery happened near the Cicero station, 720 S. Cicero Ave., in Austin.

The robberies all happened in the afternoon and evening hours between Oct. 30 and Nov. 4, police said.

Police described the suspect as a male between 17 and 26 years old standing between 5-foot-6 and 6-foot-1. He had black hair and was wearing a blue jacket and green camouflage hoodie, police said.

Anyone with information about these thefts is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263.
