A man has been caught on CCTV stealing a bicycle in broad daylight in Edinburgh, using it bolt cutters to free it from a railing.
The theft took place on Comiston Road in Morningside on Tuesday evening.
Police have confirmed they are looking into the incident.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "We're investigating the theft of a bicycle on Comiston Road around 6.55pm on Tuesday, 20, August."
The video shows a man wearing a dark hoody and cap standing around the bicycle.
He moves a backpack to his chest before removing the bolt cutters from it.
He is able to quickly snap through the lock on the bike in a few seconds, before placing the cutters back in his bag, removing the chain and cycling away.
