Thibaut Courtois was clearly delighted to see his compatriot Eden Hazard officially join Real Madrid on Friday night, but the goalkeeper risked the wrath of Chelsea fans with his welcome message to the winger.
Real completed the £130m capture of Hazard from Chelsea, with both clubs announcing the deal late on Friday as Hazard and Courtois were away on international duty with Belgium.
Courtois infamously left Chelsea for a move to the Santiago Bernabeu last summer after failing to turn up for pre-season training before the Blues sanctioned a £35m transfer.
The acrimonious nature of his departure from Chelsea led to much criticism particularly on social media, but Courtois has risked yet more bad blood between himself and Blues supporters with his welcome message to Hazard.
Writing on his Twitter account on Friday evening along with a selfie of the pair, Courtois wrote: "Welcome to the best club in the world! @hazardeden10 @realmadrid".
