Thibaut Courtois: It would be an honour to win LaLiga at stadium named after Real Madrid's best-ever player

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois says it would be an 'honour' to win LaLiga at a stadium named after the club's greatest ever player.

Los Blancos will play their remaining home matches in the competition at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano, including their first two fixtures after the restart, as renovation work continues at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"It's an honour to play in the stadium of a legend, perhaps the best player in the history of the club," the Belgian told Movistar.

"For me, it would be an honour to win a title there because it would be [something] historic in a special year."

Madrid's players took part in a practice match at the 6,000-seater stadium, which is based at their training ground, in Saturday's session.

Eden Hazard featured in that game after making a full recovery from ankle surgery in February and Courtois said of his international team-mate: "He's looking really good.

"I'm surprised by the rhythm he has. We can't expect him to be at his best without playing, but he looks on form to me and we will need him in order to fight for the title."
