Thibaut Courtois is "100 per cent" sure Eden Hazard will be a Real Madrid player next season despite reports linking him with a return to Chelsea.
Hazard moved to Los Blancos in the summer of 2019 from the Blues for £86million, but his first two campaigns in the Spanish capital have not lived up to his sky high expectations.
There have been reports that Madrid could look to cash in on the Belgium international before his value decreases too much, but former Chelsea goalkeeper Courtois has insisted this will not be the case this summer.
Speaking to Le Soir, the Belgian shot-stopper opened up on his team-mate's future.
"I'm 100% sure he's staying. He doesn't want to move. Only the Madrid press writes about the desire to leave," Courtois said.
"He wants to continue, play free of injuries and win titles," the Belgium goalkeeper continued.
"At Real Madrid there is criticism all the time and for everyone. Gareth Bale was criticized, but he won the Champions League and scored a double in the final in Kyiv.
"We all know that in Madrid there is pressure and criticism from the press and the fans. But Eden can handle that. I know him well enough to say it. He can still change everything.
"He still wants to be an important player for Madrid and win titles."
Carlo Ancelotti was appointed as Real Madrid's new boss earlier in the week following Zinedine Zidane's departure - something Hazard is excited for.
Speaking to RBTF, the 30-year-old said: "Everyone at Real Madrid knows what Ancelotti has brought to the club.
"He won the Champions League with this group and he knows a lot of the players. We know that he is a coach with a lot of experience.
"He knows the city and the fans. I think we can do great things together.
"I don't know him personally, but from what I've heard of him he's a very nice person who just wants to win, and that's what we all want.
"We'll have the chance to work together. It's good news for me."
Since moving to Spain in 2019, Hazard has only featured just 43 times for the La Liga giants in all competitions due to numerous injury concerns and was also absent after testing positive for Covid.
When he did manage to get on the pitch, the winger has only been able to muster up five goals in all competitions.
