Chelsea fans will love what Thiago Silva did before Brazil's 5-0 win

Thiago Silva sent a message that shows just how much Chelsea are on his mind - even while he's away on international duty.

The 36-year-old joined Chelsea on a one-year deal this summer with the option of a one-year extension at Stamford Bridge.

And though his Premier League career did not get off to the greatest of starts with a goal given away on his debut in the 3-3 draw away to West Brom.

However, he recovered well to dominate in a 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace in his first league appearance at Stamford Bridge.

That game was the last match before the international break, with Thiago Silva called up by Brazil once again for their World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru, the first of which resulted in a 5-0 win for the defender's side.

And ahead of that game in Sao Paulo, the Chelsea defender sent a message that will resonate with Chelsea fans as the centre-back continues to integrate at Stamford Bridge.

Alongside a message that stated: 'Que Deus nos abençoe' - or 'God bless us', the defender posted a picture of his place in the dressing room, including his custom shin pads - which are now baring a Chelsea badge.

Thiago Silva was one of a number of new signings at Stamford Bridge as Frank Lampard targets a tilt at the Premier League title.

Alongside the Brazilian defender, the Blues also signed Malang Sarr on a free transfer from Nice - one more for the future of the club.

Ben Chilwell was also brought in to strengthen the defence for £45million from Leicester.

Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy was brought in from Nice for £20million, while a deal for Hakim Ziyech was agreed back in February.

And over £100million was invested in the attack, with both Kai Havertz and Timo Werner joining from the Bundesliga.
