Thiago Silva's wife lays into Timo Werner as 'karma' blamed for Chelsea forward's woes

Thiago Silva's wife Isabele launched an extraordinary attack on the Brazilian defender's Chelsea teammate Timo Werner during the Blues' 1-1 draw with Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Chelsea have the slight advantage going into next week's second leg at Stamford Bridge in their Champions League semi-final thanks to Christian Pulisic's away goal.

But they may regret the fact they did not win the match in Spain after they spurned a number of good opportunities to extend their lead before Karim Benzema's equaliser.

Werner was guilty of missing a sitter early on as he shot straight at Thibaut Courtois from six yards out, while he also dragged a shot wide when he had better options on later in the first-half.

And Isabele was clearly unimpressed, uploading a video to her Instagram account during the first period and saying: "This is karma, guys. Every team I go to there is a striker who keeps missing goals… this Werner, what is his name?"

In a second video later on she added: "We need a goal, we need to win this match but my attackers don’t want to score, I don’t know why they don’t score."

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was asked about Werner's latest frustrations after the game, and urged the German to keep working hard in his pursuit of finding form in England.

"He missed a big one at West Ham, now he missed another big one here, that does not help," Tuchel said.

"But it also doesn’t help to cry about it or to regret it all the time. It’s like this, there are millions of people who have harder things to deal with than chances that you miss.

"So this is the good thing about sports, nobody cares tomorrow. Today, we were sad, angry in the moment, this is normal. He’s angry, he is disappointed, tomorrow he has a free day and the next day he has to put his chin up.

"He is a professional guy, he is a top guy, he works hard, he gets in the positions, and from there on we go.

"We will never stop pushing, we will never stop believing, I have the feeling that everybody accepts the situation like this. A striker is easy, you score the next game and nobody speaks."
