Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has emerged as a doubt for Sunday's Premier League clash with Sheffield United.
The one negative from the Blues' 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur was the withdrawal of the 36-year-old as early as the 36th minute with the Brazilian struggling with a thigh injury.
As Thiago Silva was helped off the pitch in north London he looked in some discomfort, although his replacement Andreas Christensen ensured the clean sheet remained intact.
And the Denmark international may be called into action this weekend with the former Paris Saint-Germain captain facing a race against time to be fit to face the Blades.
And as revealed by Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel, Thiago Silva may not be available for the weekend's trip to Bramall Lane.
"It will be very tight for Sunday," Tuchel said after the win over Spurs.
"It is only in two days but it is hard to give a diagnosis because I saw him only very quickly in the dressing room with a big strap around his muscle.
"We will have to wait until tomorrow (Friday) so we can confirm it but I think for Sunday he is a big doubt and I don't think that he can play."
Following confirmation of the injury blow, Thiago Silva has been active on social media.
Although, as seen in the image above, it hasn't been to discuss a possible return date but rather to update fans on his progress with a message on Instagram.
A rough translation of the message - via Chelsea Reddit - reads: "Injuries are part of our profession, now I'm treating and coming back stronger."
Thiago Silva's injury means Tuchel could have just three senior centre-backs available for the game against Blades.
Kurt Zouma, who is yet to feature under Tuchel and suffered "a little issue" in training earlier in the week that ruled him out of the Spurs trip
If the Frenchman and Thiago Silva fail to recover that leaves Antonio Rudiger, Christensen, and Cesar Azpilicueta as Tuchel's only centre-back options.
