Thiago Silva drops huge FA Cup final team news hint ahead of Chelsea vs Liverpool

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva may have dropped a huge team news hint ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final against Liverpool at Wembley. The Blues will be looking to end their season on a high note, with England’s oldest competition left as their only potential piece of silverware.

It comes after a mixed campaign for the west London outfit, who crowned themselves Champions of the World, but have equally seen some of their other attempts at trophies fall flat. They managed to set the pace in the Premier League before a drop in form, while Real Madrid ended the side’s defence of the Champions League.

A run in the Carabao Cup took them to the final, where they happened to face Liverpool, but lost on penalties. They have the chance to enact revenge on the Reds in the FA Cup to earn their own trophy, while putting an end to their opponents’ unlikely quadruple hopes.

Winning the FA Cup at Wembley was something that Thiago Silva outlined as a dream ahead of the match. Speaking to the Telegraph, he said: “Wembley is known around the world for being the home of the English football team - it has a status like the Stade de France and the Maracana.

“It's a privilege to play in these stadiums and, obviously, it would be an amazing thing to win there. I've lost finals there against Leicester and Liverpool, and those are not great memories. To return to Wembley and win a trophy would be another dream come true."

Heading into the game, the Brazilian may have dropped a huge hint over the starting line up for the afternoon. Taking to Instagram, he posted a pre-match hype graphic detailing the game and his potential involvement.

While, in the past, this hasn’t always been the case for a player guaranteed a start, the 37-year-old has been a regular at the back and his experience could be called upon for a game of such magnitude. If he is involved, then Silva will be hoping he can be the one to achieve that Wembley dream come the evening.
