Thiago Silva has accepted the responsibility for his sending off in Chelsea's 5-2 defeat to West Bromwich Albion.
The Blues lost their first match under Thomas Tuchel as they slumped to a heavy defeat against the relegation-battling Baggies.
Christian Pulisic opened the scoring for the hosts at Stamford Bridge, but a couple of minutes later, Silva was shown a second yellow card, before Matheus Pereira's brace put the visitors ahead before half-time.
Callum Robinson scored a brilliant goal to make it 3-1 before Mbaye Diagne handed the Baggies a three-goal advantage. Mason Mount grabbed one back for Chelsea but Robinson wrapped up the victory in stoppage time in west London.
The game quickly went downhill for the Blues following Silva's sending off and speaking on Instagram after the match, the former Paris Saint-Germain defender accepted responsibility.
The caption started with a quote: "'Lessons need to be learned from difficult days, so that the next day is the beginning of a new beginning'."
Before he added: "I believe it was not an expulsion move, I haven't seen the video yet, but the referee made his decision and we can't change what happened. I assume my responsibility for the expulsion, which unfortunately directly affected the result of the game.
"Now we have to join our forces, because Wednesday it will be another battle. Come on @ChelseaFC ".
Silva made his long-awaited return to action for Chelsea against West Brom after missing 10 games in all competitions through a thigh injury.
He will be available for midweek, though, with the Blues preparing for a trip to take on Porto in the Champions League quarter-final. Then it's a short trip to Crystal Palace next Saturday as the Blues look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.
