Thiago Alcantara
Who?
Bayern Munich's midfield maestro.
Where?
Bayern boss Hansi Flick has said Thiago's future lies elsewhere with the player having made a decision to leave the Champions League winners.
Flick, as quote by Bild, said: "I assume that he will leave us. We had fully focused on the Champions League, his contract wasn't an issue in the past few weeks. We haven't had another conversation now, I think his decision has been made.“
And now a report from Jan Aage Fjortoft suggests the Spain international has spoken with Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - but his 'wage demands are too high'.
What?
Thiago really does look set to leave Bayern and Reds fans are very keen on Jurgen Klopp adding the talented midfielder to the club's roster. But whether Liverpool will be his next step remains to be seen.
United have just signed Donny van de Beek from Ajax so whether they will be looking to add another midfielder before the season starts is questionable.
You would imagine Thiago would want to have his future sorted out before the season begins later this month.
And all reports have suggested he has his heart set on Anfield but we really will have to wait and see.
Gini Wijnaldum
Who?
Liverpool's midfielder and a Premier League champion.
Where?
A report from The Telegraph has claimed Ronald Koeman could be about to test Liverpool's resolve as Barcelona 'prepare a bid' for the Dutch midfielder.
What?
Wijnaldum is one of Liverpool's star men and the Reds will surely want to keep hold of him with the new season just nine days away.
The 29-year-old has just one year remaining on his current Anfield deal and will of course have a big decision to make if Barca do come in for him - as will Liverpool.
I guess we will have to watch and wait to see if Koeman and co. fire a fax Jurgen Klopp's way.
Boubakary Soumare
Who?
Lille star.
Where?
According to Le10Sport, Liverpool are interested in acquiring Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare.
What?
The Reds have been linked with a move for the former Paris Saint-Germain youngster in the past. And it is reported would face competition from the likes of Manchester United if they are to look at signing the 21-year-old.
Whether the Reds are interested is currently unknown - but Soumare is one to watch having had a standout 2019/20 campaign with Lille.
