It didn't take long for Liverpool star Thiago Alcantara to get a song dedicated to him after signing for the club.
No sooner had the deal been done to bring the midfielder to the Premier League champions from Bayern Munich, a section of supporters were already humming the tune of 'Cuba' by the Gibson Brothers.
Now, the lead singer of the group who made the song famous first time around, Chris Gibson, has shared his delight in the adoption of his creation among the LFC faithful.
Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com, he also explained how the song is a perfect fit and still holds true their intention behind the original.
He said: "I was very honoured that Liverpool fans chose our song to celebrate such a great player like Thiago Alcantara.
"Basically we wrote Cuba to bring fun, joy and to make people dance. But the transfer of an excellent player is also happiness, so it fits very well the mood of the song.
"Liverpool is a very famous club and moreover it's The Beatles' city, of which I'm a big fan.
"I love it and I also really like the video."
Co-writer of the song Jean Kluger who worked alongside Daniel Vangarde on the tune, echoes the sentiment and admits that when a song is written, it's never really known what will happen when people hear it or how they will respond to it.

He said: "Well, when you write a song you imagine nothing, you just don't know how they use it. It's very well done – I think it's very funny.
"From my part, there's no problem. People use songs more and more, so you can't do much about it. Once it's well done with good intentions, we don't mind.
"You know with songs, you never know where you go and what will happen. It's very magic how people from all countries... you never know how somebody will pick up a song and do something with it. That's great."
And when asked if he hopes to hear it sung loud by the Kop when fans can return to Anfield once again, Jean said: "That would be a great honour and a beautiful story that continues."
A special video was even created by fans and it was revealed that the man himself, Thiago has watched it and seen messages from Kopites sharing his new song - and he is a big fan.
The club posted a short clip at the time of his signing of the new number six sitting in the Liverpool dressing room, whistling along to the song - clearly enjoying already having a popular tune dedicated to him.
In that clip, he can't help but smile as he watches and notes "People are so talented, it's amazing."
Reds fans are still hoping the former Barcelona man will pull off a 'Gibson Brothers shimmy' whenever he scores his first goal for the club, with two upcoming fixtures against Manchester United in league and cup perhaps the perfect time for his maiden strike.
The lyrics to the Thiago song are:
"Thiago, Thiago Alcantara...
"Thiago, Thiago Alcantara...
"You dance through the midfield like nobody does, the first time I saw you I knew it was love...
"Thiago, Thiago Alcantara."
