Thiago Alcantara has praised Fabinho’s performances for Liverpool this season.
The Brazilian midfielder has been an integral part of the Reds’ magnificent campaign so far, clocking up 18 appearances as Jurgen Klopp’s side remain in the hunt for silverware on four fronts.
At times last season Fabinho was forced to play as a centre-back after Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez all suffered long-term injuries.
The Reds missed the 28-year-old's presence in midfield and protection he provided for the back four, as Klopp’s side toiled in the league before eventually rallying to finish third.

However, Liverpool are thriving with the Brazil international back in his preferred position this term.
Thiago hailed Fabinho’s quality on the ball and the contribution he's made to the Reds’ season so far.
“He’s a world-class player that gives us confidence to try different things," he told Stadium Astro .
“Because if we fail doing that, we know we have a guy we can rely on.
“He will defend, he will be there for you and also, he is a magnificent player on the ball.”
Fabinho joined Liverpool in a £43.7m deal from Monaco in the summer of 2018 and has clocked up 140 appearances for the club, scoring four times and registering eight assists.
