Thiago Alcântara fans' hearts melt over adorable back to school snaps

Thiago Alcântara's wife Julia Vigas has shared an adorable sequence of photos of their children as they headed back to school after the summer holidays.

Alcântara played a key role in the Reds' campaign as Jurgen Klopp's side won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup trophies last season. The midfielder has been married to Julia since 2015 and the couple share two children named Siena and Gabriela.

Julia kept followers updated with snaps from their luxury trip to Spain this summer, before returning to the UK for the start of the season.

On Monday, Julia shared a number of photos of her son and daughter in their uniforms. Captioning the post, the proud mum said: "First day of school! I love YOU".

Fans have rushed to wish the family well. Taking to the comments section, Patricia Montero said: "They're so big! Beautiful", while Matt Jackson said: "So cute".

Rita Griffin said: "Beautiful, good luck". Carole Dawson said: "Hope your beautiful children enjoy their first day at school".

Thiago had to be withdrawn early in the second half of the opening league match of the campaign and has not been seen on the pitch since, however things are starting to look more positive. Jurgen Klopp explained in his press conference ahead of the match with Newcastle. “I think Diogo [Jota] can train from Thursday on, Thiago I think, slightly later. We'll see,” he said.
