Albert Adomah has voiced frustration over his expected return to Nottingham Forest.
The Reds winger has been on loan at Cardiff City since January but that deal is due to expire after tomorrow (Tuesday, June 30).
Loans can be extended after the season was prolonged due to the coronavirus shutdown.
However, Cardiff boss Neil Harris has confirmed that Adomah will go back to Forest as things stand.
Harris has expressed his anger at the situation, branding the EFL a "disgrace" for their handling of the loan regulations and questioning Forest's decision not to allow the player to see out the season.
Both sides are pushing for promotion to the Premier League and are currently in the play-off zone, so will not be looking to do each other any favours.
It looks like Adomah would not be able to play for Forest this season if he does return.
According to the Daily Mail, returning loan players can only feature if they are coming from a competition which has been curtailed and a club not involved in the play-offs.
Adomah has taken to Instagram to send a message to the Forest faithful.
Replying to a post from a fan account, nottinghamforestfanpage101, the 32-year-old - nicknamed Uncs - said: "Simple, I can't play if I come back.
"They (Forest) shouldn't have loaned me out in the first place. Now I'm helping another club.
"Forest are playing hard (mouth zipped emoji). Guys please remember one thing. I DID NOT want to leave Forest. FACT!!
"Sometimes players get treated like (mouth zipped emoji).
"Before you leave any comments please think carefully.
