Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were left in stitches after they were convinced they caught their Spin To Win winner 'at it', live on air.
The infamous This Morning duo were shocked before bursting into laughter after Matthew, from Newcastle, revealed he almost missed the call because he and his wife were "enjoying time together."
Holly and Phil were "half a ring" away from hanging up on Matthew before he answered with today's passphrase.
When the hosts questioned him on why it took him so long to answer the phone, Matthew replied with: "Oh, sorry, we're just busy."
Holly and Phil both exclaimed: "Oh, just busy?", before Phil said: "Busy? Busy with what? What's keeping you so busy, Matthew?"
After a long pause, Matthew replied with: "Erm, just, you know... enjoying time together."
As Holly went: "Aww.", Phil's mind took a different turn, with his jaw dropping to the ground:
"Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on!", burst Phil before Holly realised what he was about to say, replying: "No! No, no, no."
Phil then went on to grill Matthew by asking him: "Who are you in lockdown with?", with Matthew revealing he was with his wife who he was having a "nice" morning with.
Phil then probed a little more and said: "Your wife close by?"
After a sort pause, Matthew replied with: "Yes," before Holly revealed she could hear his wife giggling in the background.
Phil then said: "We've just caught them at it!"
Desperate to think otherwise, Holly said: "No, no, no, we didn't!", at the same time Matthew tried to claim his innocence too.
Holly then turned to Phil ahead of spinning the wheel, saying: "Phillip! Stop it!"
After Matthew won £250, a UK holiday and the This Morning 'bag of shizzle', Phil couldn't resist making another comment: "Enjoy your morning, crack on!", leaving both Matthew and Holly laughing.
"You are so naughty, you are a naughty man!", added Holly after Matthew hung up.
