'They’re a despondent group of people' - Gary Neville lets rip at Manchester United's stars

Gary Neville has once again let rip at Manchester United's players, branding them a "despondent group of people".

Neville was speaking in the aftermath to Huddersfield's equaliser at the John Smith's Stadium, with the former United star once again left angered at what he was witnessing from his former side.

United's hopes of claiming a top four finish are already hanging by a thread, and Neville believes that since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment as the club's permanent manager, the players have simply switched off.

"This is Huddersfield Town who’ve struggled all season," the former England man said in his Sky Sports commentary.

Gary Neville discusses Alexis Sanchez's Manchester United 'mystery' and makes prediction

"Smashes the corner flag to smithereens. Why not? When you watch this Huddersfield team they haven’t got the quality.

"When you watch this Huddersfield team they haven’t got the quality. I actually like watching them more than the ones in red shirts to be honest with you. At least you can identify with them. There’s nothing about this United team I like at all. Just awful.

"Look at them, there. They’re a despondent group of people. Luke Shaw doesn’t know whether to go with his left foot or his right foot.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explains Manchester United team selection and confirms fresh injury

"He’s [Solskjaer] smiling at them they’re that bad. I have to say Manchester United’s away support will never stop singing, but this group of players have drained the energy out of them. He’s [Ed Woodward] seven of them already so maybe it’ll be better this time.

"Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s got the job and they’ve just switched off. There can be no other explanation.
