"They don't pass" - furious Sergio Aguero appears to hit out at Man City teammates

Sergio Aguero seemed far from happy with his teammates as he left the pitch following Manchester City's 2-0 Champions League victory against Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday.

City were already 2-0 up from the first leg of their last-16 tie, and further goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan in Budapest saw them seal a comfortable 4-0 aggregate win to send them through to the quarter-finals.

Aguero has only recently returned to first-team action amid a frustrating season which has seen struggle with injury problems.

He came off the bench to replace Bernardo Silva with 15 minutes left of the encounter against Gladbach, but failed to make much of an impression.

And as he made his way back to the dressing room at full-time he was seen in discussion with a member of City's backroom staff, and appeared to say in Spanish: "They don't pass me the ball", referring to his teammates.

Aguero's future has been the source of much speculation recently, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

And some reports have claimed he is close to agreeing a deal to sign for Barcelona, drawing to an end ten glorious years at City in which he has won four Premier League titles and five Carabao Cups.

It may be, therefore, that Aguero is desperate to go out with a bang, and success in the Champions League would be the perfect way for him to bid farewell.

City will now be considered one of the favourites to win the competition, which has eluded Pep Guardiola since he arrived at the club in 2016.

And they will be watching Friday's quarter-final draw with interest as they hope to avoid the big guns such as Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid.

After that they will turn their attentions to the FA Cup, and it will be interesting to see if Aguero starts their quarter-final against Everton on Saturday.
