'They deserve so much more' - Newcastle United fans praised for passion during Leicester defeat

Newcastle United fans have been praised for their passion after watching their side lose comfortably to Leicester City.

The Magpies were outplayed by The Foxes before Isaac Hayden saw red for a lunge of Dennis Praet midway through the first half.

Steve Bruce's side went into the break only 1-0 down but crumbled early on in the second as Jamie Vardy netted two, and Praet and Wilfred Ndidi the others.

United failed to register a single shot on goal as yet again Joelinton cut an isolated figure.

Yet despite the shocking performance on the pitch, those 3,400 fans who travelled down to the King Power Stadium, put in a heck of display on the terraces.

They constantly sung 'who's that team called United?' - and were praised by many on Twitter for their committed support.

'You'd think it was 4-0 to Newcastle'

'They deserve so, so much more'

'Proper support, deserving of better'
