'They are wrong!' Hazard tells Chelsea fans exactly what they want to hear over Madrid chants

Eden Hazard has told fans that he is fully focused on Chelsea following chants during a 2-0 win over West Ham that claimed he would soon be leaving for Real Madrid.

The Belgian is the subject of intense speculation over a move to the Bernabeu and was the star of the show as he scored both of the goals in his side's victory against the Irons at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking after the game to Sky Sports, he set out his targets for the rest of the season as supporters wait to see whether he will remain with the Blues beyond the summer.

Hazard has a contract until the summer of 2020 and if he does not sign a new deal this year he would be able to leave west London a free at the end of next season.

Jamie Carragher on why Eden Hazard is better than Mohamed Salah, Paul Pogba and Harry Kane

Monday Night Football pundit Jamie Carragher went as far as to claim that the 28-year-old is the best player in the Premier League at half-time during the match against West Ham but the Belgium international was keen to credit his teammates as he stepped off the pitch.

"I think we played a great game," he said. "The game was not so easy because West Ham are a great team, they have great players, and they create a bit of problems for us.

"I think at the end we did everything, we didn’t concede a goal and we scored two great goals, so I’m very happy with what we’ve done today."

However, he was prepared to talk about the quality of his goal to open the scoring. The Chelsea talisman took on most of the West Ham defence to dance through their challenges and slot the ball home to make it 1-0.

"It was something special,"he added. "I took the ball and then when I can go forward, I try to go forward. When I’m in the box it’s hard for the defender to challenge me because if he touches me it’s maybe a penalty. I think I’m a bit lucky at the end when I shot but it was a good goal.”

'Witchcraft!' - Liverpool fans are terrified Hazard will end their title hopes after masterclass

"I’m small so for me it’s quite good, when I play against a tall guy for them it is very hard to change direction but that’s my own quality and I’m happy to play it."

When asked about the Madrid chants, he played down the transfer rumours linking him to a £100million move this summer.

"They are wrong," he said with a laugh. "Now I am just focused with Chelsea until the end of the season. I just want to finish in the top four and in the Europa League we still have a lot to do. We will see.

"Now we have good momentum. We are winning three games in a row, I think for the mentality it is good to keep going like that. Top-four is our target, Europa League is our target, so we need to do well in both challenges but we can do it."
