Millwall midfielder Jed Wallace has described Leeds United as an 'unbelievable side' after he and his Lions teammates recorded a 2-1 victory over the Whites at The Den on Saturday afternoon.
Wallace set the ball rolling, firing home a 16th minute penalty after Leeds defender Gaetano Berardi was deemed guilty of tripping Tom Bradshaw to hand the home side a penalty.
But despite the man advantage, Millwall were forced to work tirelessly for the victory, with Marcelo Bielsa's men giving it everything after half-time.
Reflecting on the game and just how big the challenge was to keep Bielsa's side at bay, Wallace said: "Every time we play Leeds we play well. You look through the times we have played them... they are an unbelievable side.
"I don't know if that when they went down to 10 men, they brought two extra men on, to be honest - it felt like they were everywhere.
"Obviously they have got a world-class manager, loads of good players and that is them without (Pablo) Hernandez, (Liam) Cooper and people like that.
"They are going to be right up there this season.
"We knew we had to be at it."
The win for Millwall extended their unbeaten home run against Leeds to six matches, winning five during that sequence. And for Wallace it also marked another goal for him against the Whites, taking his tally of goals to two in his last three games against them.
Though Wallace is fond of the meetings with Leeds, he insists that it will be tough for anyone to finish above them this season, saying that if anyone does they will be 'right up there.'
"I always enjoy the big occasions and at this level it doesn't get much bigger," Wallace added.
"There is a bit of needle there between the two clubs. We have had some great games with them, to be fair, and today was another one.
"If you finish above them this season you are going to be right up there."
