Wigan fans have been showing their appreciation for on-loan Chelsea star Reece James this afternoon (Sunday).
The 19-year-old has been a revelation for the Latics, playing a major part in helping Paul Cook's side secure Championship survival.
And the full-back's performances certainly haven't gone unnoticed, with the youngster given a standing ovation from Wigan supporters this afternoon, after being substituted late on in his final appearance for the club in the Latics' 1-0 win against Millwall.
James had already been given an honour for the game, with manager Cook confirming at his pre-match press conference that the England youth international would captain his side for their final game of the season against Millwall, saying: “Reece will captain the team on Sunday and it’s likely that we’ll bring him off during the latter stages so that our supporters can give him the ovation he deserves."

And in the first of stoppage time, that is just what happened as James was replaced by Gary Roberts, with those inside the DW Stadium standing as one to give the youngster a rousing reception.
But Latics fans were quick to turn to Twitter to praise the defender and send a message to his parent club about the right-back's future.
