These Tottenham fans are going wild after what Marcus Edwards did for Vitoria against Arsenal

Tottenham fans haven't had too much to cheer about in recent weeks.

The form of Mauricio Pochettino's men has been indifferent, with Spurs sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League table, out of the Carabao Cup and enduring a humbling 7-2 defeat in the Champions League against Bayern Munich.

But the performances of former Tottenham player Marcus Edwards against Spurs' north London rivals Arsenal has certainly given fans of his old side something to enjoy.

Less than a fortnight ago, he gave Portuguese side Vitoria the lead at the Emirates Stadium as the Primeira Liga side threatened an upset against the Gunners in north London, only for Arsenal to stage a late fightback to win 3-2.

But this afternoon (Wednesday), the Gunners suffered late on against Vitoria, with the Portuguese side scoring in injury time to salvage a point and end Arsenal's 100 per cent record in Group F.

And Edwards was heavily involved in Vitoria's goal, which was scored by Bruno Duarte.

The former Spurs youngster drove at the Arsenal defence down the right and took on Rob Holding, getting past him and delivering a cross into the box, which Arsenal failed to clear as Duarte netted with a scissor kick to earn a point for his side.

It was disappointment for Arsenal, but Edwards' contribution delighted Tottenham fans, who have been reacting to his involvement in the equaliser on social media.

Here's what some Spurs fans have been saying about the 20-year-old, who only played once for Spurs' first team during his time in north London.
