These Spurs fans have noticed the two things Jefferson Lerma did to provoke Son Heung-min

It was a bad day on the south coast for Tottenham.

Needing to win to confirm their place in the top four, it all went wrong for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

They were beaten by an injury-time Nathan Ake head, but that does not tell even half of the story.

Spurs dominated the first half and were kept out time and again by Cherries debutant Mark Travers.

Then Son Heung-min was sent off for a shove on Jefferson Lerma, before, minutes after the restart, substitute Juan Foyth was sent off seconds after joining the action, to leave Spurs playing almost half the match with nine men.

Pochettino press conference: Every word on Son and Foyth reds, Dier, Alderweireld and Vertonghen

Eric Dier was also lucky not to have been red carded, after a couple of fouls missed by referee Craig Pawson.

But there was another player lucky to remain on the pitch too - Bournemouth's Lerma.

He was in the thick of the action, and was the man shoved to the floor by the normally placid Son.

But was there a reason for the South Korean's shock retaliation?

A number of Tottenham fans on Twitter think Pawson, who had a troubled game, missed a couple of huge moments which could have led to Son's outburst.

Minutes before the red card, Son was blocked off by Lerma in the middle of the park, right in front of Pawson, with no foul given.

What Tottenham's loss to Bournemouth means for Chelsea, Arsenal and Man United in top four race

And then, in the seconds before Son sees red, Lerma appears to hit the frontman on the back, which leads to Son pushing the Colombian to the floor.

And these Tottenham fans on Twitter are not happy about it.
