These six games are leaving Xbox Game Pass in October

Microsoft has announced the games that will be leaving Xbox Game Pass this month.

Six titles have been added to the “leaving soon” section on the Xbox Store website, telling you these games will be gone in the “next two weeks”.

Among them are Trek to Yomi, Eville, The Legend of Tian Ding, and Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion.

These four titles are available for both the Xbox and PC versions of Game Pass, while Shenzhen I/O and Overwhelm are additional departing games for PC subscribers.

As usual, these titles are available to buy outright at a slight discount for Game Pass subscribers, should you want to continue playing after they’ve gone.

If there’s one title to recommend trying out of the bunch, it’s probably Trek to Yomi. While not necessarily the best-reviewed of the set, its highly stylised presentation is likely to make quite a mark in the memory even if you play for no more than 30 minutes.

Alternatively, you can finish Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion in about two hours if you like games you can easily finish. It’s a funny top-down role-playing adventure game, reminiscent of the 90s instalments in the Zelda series.

However, this is mostly a heads-up for anyone who has been meaning to try out these titles, but has not found the time yet.

Xbox Game Pass new games for October

It’s not all bad news, though, because Xbox Game Pass has already seen three new games added since the beginning of October.

New turn-based strategy title the Lamplighters League is pencilled in for today (October 3), alongside big-budget action adventure Gotham Knights, and a 10-hour trial of NHL 24.

Here are the other games scheduled to come to Game Pass this month:

  • Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (October 4)
  • Forza Motorsport (October 10)
  • Cities: Skylines 2 (October 24)
  • Mineko’s Night Market (October 26)
  • Headbangers Rhythm Royale (October 31)
  • Jusant (October 31)

These games will be available across all Game Pass tiers, where applicable, aside from Game Pass Core, which only grants access to a smaller library of titles.
