These Ready-To-Drink Spritzes Are Summer In A Can

Labor Day is fast approaching, which means summer is drawing to a close. But here’s the good news: just pop the top of one of these perfectly portable spritzes (some traditional, others creative riffs on the classic spritz) to taste summer in a can any day of the year.

Ramona Organic Italian Wine Spritzes, $20 for 4

Sommelier Jordan Salcito poured wines at top-tier New York City restaurants like Eleven Madison Park and Momofuku before launching Ramona, her line of Italian-style wine spritzes that come in cute and convenient cans.

Certified organic and made with no artificial ingredients, the 7% ABV (alcohol by volume) spritzes are offered in three different flavors with bright pops of citrus: Meyer lemon, blood orange, and ruby grapefruit.

Underwood The Spritz, $15 for 6

Chances are you’ve spotted Underwood’s canned pinot lining the shelves of your grocery store and wine shop for years now. But the Oregon-based company keeps adding to their selection of dependably delicious and affordable canned wines — all of which are crying out to be tossed in a bag and sipped at the beach, swimming hole, or hiking trail in true PNW fashion.

Underwood’s newest offering is The Spritz, a refreshing rosé with a touch of strawberry purée and fresh lime juice.

St. Agrestis spritzes Courtesy of St. Agrestis

St. Agrestis Spritzes, $20 for 4

Sick of too-sweet cocktails? Pop open a petite 6-ounce can of St. Agrestis. Made in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, this easy-sipping spritz is crafted from sparkling Italian wine, sparkling water, and St. Agrestis Paradiso Aperitivo, a complex, pleasantly bitter liqueur with notes of herbs and citrus. Snag a 4-pack for $20, or pick up a 10-can Party Pack for $50.

Usual Guava Spritz Courtesy of Usual

Usual Guava Spritz, $48 for 8

You won’t find a long list of preservatives or flavorings on Usual’s spritzes: California brut wine and fresh-pressed pink guava juice sourced from the Philippines are the only two ingredients that go into these cans. Drink them super chilled for a refreshing tropical fruit sipper that clocks in at 7.25 ABV, 2.5 grams of sugar, 3.9 carbs, and a mere 73 calories per serving.

Bully Boy Distillers Grapefruit Spritz Courtesy of Bully Boy Distillers

Bully Boy Distillers Grapefruit Spritz, $13 for 4

These summery 12-ounce cans from Bully Boy Distillers in Massachusetts hint at the fresh flavors inside: the Distiller's own Amaro, blended with zesty grapefruit with notes of lemon and cherry.

Plume & Petal Spritz Cocktails Courtesy of Plume & Petal

Plume & Petal Spritz Cocktails, $18 for 6

Made with vodka instead of the usual wine and bitters, these twists on the traditional spritz are light thirst-quenchers that have just 100-calories per 12-ounce can. Reach for Peach (flavored with white peach, lavender and black tea) Cucumber (chamomile tea and lemongrass), or Lemon (white tea and elderflower), all of which are a low 4.5% alcohol by volume.
