These rare Peter Rabbit coins are worth a fortune - could you find one in Glasgow?

A rare 50p coin has been released into the wild - with people going hopping mad for the Peter Rabbit change.

Around 400 special edition 2019 Peter Rabbit branded coins were made The Royal Mint, but they were never intended for general circulation.

But we can get our paws on them after The Great British Coin Hunt revealed they are putting hundreds of the originally non-released Peter Rabbit 2019 50 pences into general circulation all over the UK.

The Peter Rabbit is the rarest 50p in the country due to the low quantity figure.

The coins are available to buy from the Royal Mint for £10, with the Royal Mint stating: "The Peter Rabbit 2019 coin is a commemorative only coin. These will not be entering general circulation."

You can also buy silver and gold 'proof' version for £65 and £795 respectively.

The coins will be distributed at various locations by the end of the month - so don't forget to double check your change!
