These Palace fans are all saying the same thing after club's social media post ahead of Everton

The countdown is on to the start of the 2019/20 season, with just 18 days until Crystal Palace kick off their campaign against Everton at Selhurst Park.

But a post on social media by the Eagles ahead of the clash with the Toffees has been met with frustration from some Palace fans, who are calling for the club to make new signings ahead of the new season.

It has been a quiet summer in terms of incomings at Palace, with former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Stephen Henderson the only new arrival at Selhurst Park so far this summer.

The 31-year-old Irishman joined the Eagles on a free transfer following his release from the Championship club, with Henderson becoming the club's third senior goalkeeper alongside Vicente Guaita and Wayne Hennessey, after Palace legend Julian Speroni left the south London club this summer.

But while Palace have been linked with a number of other players so far this summer, there have been no further additions made to the squad.

And with Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaving the Eagles to join Manchester United in a deal worth around £50million, along with several players being released this summer, there is some concern among Palace supporters ahead of the new campaign.

Indeed, with just 18 days until the opening day clash against Everton - and just 16 days until the transfer deadline - many Palace fans have been saying the same thing in response to the club's latest social media post.

Premier League 2019/20 opening fixtures

In the post on Twitter, the club published a picture of James McArthur, who wears squad number 18, accompanied by the message: "18 days until our Premier League campaign begins."

And here's what some Palace fans have been saying on Twitter today (Tuesday),

Palace are yet to win a game in 90 minutes in pre-season, with the Eagles losing their latest friendly 1-0 against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Friday night.

But despite Palace's form in pre-season, winger Andros Townsend insists that they will be ready for the new campaign when Everton visit Selhurst Park on Saturday, August 10.
