I've been drooling over Arai's Tour-X5 ever since it launched, and that was just when it had the most basic colorways available. You can adjust the multi-purpose unit to act as an adventure, off-road, or on-road helmet, and it looks slick in every configuration.
Arai launched the Tour X-5 in October 2023 and sent plain colors to dealers in December 2023, but more colorful options would follow in January 2024. Now, 20 months later, the brand has added four new colorways to the range to generate renewed interest in the model, and it's a plan I can see working because they are slick.
All of the new colorways are a 'Match' design and stray away from clean, colorful lines, which was about as wild as you could get before. Now, however, the mesh design introduces block patterns of various sizes to break up the colorway and give a more dynamic, verging on explosive look. My favorite of the four new styles, by quite a ways, is the 'Match Multi', which gives off big Honda Africa Twin matchy-matchy vibes.

If you want to match up with the likes of a SuperDuke 1390, then there's also a new colorway for you in the form of the 'Match Orange'.
For the rogues out there, the ones who don't want to conform to a classic OEM color scheme, there's the Match Red, which could just as easily be called the 'Match Black' in my opinion.
Finally, Arai has dropped something for the Yamaha Tenere 700 riders out there in the form of the 'Match Blue'.
I'll admit that I'm usually not the biggest fan of matching helmets to motorcycle paint schemes, but if I saw anyone wearing the Match helmets mentioned above on any of the matching motorcycles listed alongside them, I'd give a nod of approval. What do you think of the new Tour X-5 colorways and, more importantly, how do you feel about matching your helmet's paint scheme to your bike's?
