These Mesh Shoes Will Mesh With Just About Everything Already in Your Spring Wardrobe

Microtrends appear to have a crazy hold on the fashion industry right now. See the mob wife aesthetic. The mesh shoe fad is no exception. There's something about the mesh shoe trend that makes it different from its predecessors, however. We're talking about its sheer versatility. (Pun totally intended.) Not only do mesh shoes go with just about any look, the current diversity of options within this burgeoning category is pretty stellar.

Mesh can be incorporated into flats, pumps, boots and even sneakers. When it comes to ballet flats, we're absolutely obsessed with the black version of Khaite's Marcy Flat. Adorned with Swarovski crystals, these showstopping shoes toe the line between trendy and timeless. If you're looking for a crystal-embellished shoe in nude, check out Christopher Esber's Minette Flat. Then there are Proenza Schouler's nude Glove Mary Jane Ballet Flats. Featuring an elasticated strap and a cute little bow, these dainty flats will automatically bring you back to your ballet glory days.

If minimalism is your thing, nobody does it better than The Row. The brand's Sock Ballet Flats are outfitted in semi-sheer black mesh with an effortlessly chic rounded toe. Did somebody say quiet luxury? Obviously, this list would be incomplete without Alaïa's leather-trimmed fishnet ballet flats. We opted for white instead of black because why blend in when you can stand out?

Moving on to heels, Courrèges reinvents the classic kitten heel with the Diving Mesh Pumps. For those on the hunt for a more affordable option, Zara makes a gorgeous mesh Mary Jane for less than $50. Bottega Veneta, Khaite, Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo and Alaïa all make funky, colorful iterations of see-through pumps. If you want to make a more in-your-face statement, look no further than Dolce & Gabbana and Kim Kardashian's Stretch Tulle Thigh-High Boots. Want to keep things a little more low-key? Try Stuart Weitzman's Bedford Mesh Lace Up Bootie or Saint Laurent's Oxalis Booties.
