Yesterday, Sonakshi Sinha and Vaani Kapoor made headlines. We learned that Sonakshi Sinha, who is looking forward to 'Double XL' that stars her boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal, has now come on board for Ashim Ahluwalia's next, titled 'A Girl In The Yellow Suitcase'. Vaani Kapoor also stars with Shatrughan Sinha's daughter in the same film.
What was missing in the reports was the name of the producer(s). Well, it's an Atul Kasbekar-Tanuj Garg film. It will be produced under their banner Ellipsis Entertainment. We bring this to you FIRST and EXCLUSIVE.
We have also learned that the film will be a thriller. The pre-production work has begun in full swing.
Tanuj and Atul, both, had a say in the casting of Sonakshi and Vaani. A source says, "They both feel that Sonakshi and Vaani are suited for their part. Ditto for Ahluwalia."
Adds the source, "Sonakshi and Vaani did not take long to say 'yes' to the film."
Vaani's last, opposite Ranbir Kapoor- 'Shamshera' - did not fare well at the ticket windows.
Ashim Ahluwalia is a National Award winning director, having wielded the megaphone for 'John and Jane', 'Miss Lovely' and 'Daddy'. His latest project 'Palace of Horrors' is a short film that is a part of a series of short horror films called 'The Field Guide to Evil'.
'Double XL' also stars cricketer Shikhar Dhawan. The movie focuses on two overweight women who have been body shamed for their entire life.
Sonakshi also has ‘Kakuda’ with Riteish Deshmukh in the pipeline.
