A playground of light-up musical seesaws will take up residence at Salford Quays this winter.
Travelling light installation Wave-Field will pitch up by the waterfront as part of the annual Lightwaves Festival.
The interactive art exhibition is made up of a series of seesaws, which are dimly lit and emit a low sound when still.
When passers-by climb on and play, they burst into sound and light, becoming richer as more people join in.
The playful installation aims to make art accessible and engaging for all, and to encourage encounters between strangers, friends and family.

Dreamed up by Canadian designers from Lateral Office and CS Design, with a soundscape by Toronto composer Mitchell Akiyama, it has travelled the world and will visit cities and towns including Leeds, Crewe and Blackpool on its UK tour from October.
Lightwaves at Salford Quays will be its final stop, from Friday December 6 to Sunday December 15.
Hosted by Quays Culture, the free, interactive light festival illuminates the quays with inspiring digital light art, including a number of new and exclusively-commissioned works from local, national and international artists.
