These July 4th Apple MacBook Deals Are Already Prime Day Level Good

With the 4th of July just a few days away and Amazon setting Prime Day shortly after, we’re in for a boatload of deals. And the excellent news is that you don’t need to wait to score an epic deal.

Take Apple’s MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, for instance, both powerful laptops with the benefits of the Apple Silicon that makes macOS fly and all housed in great hardware. Normally for a terrific discount over the summer, you’d wait for Prime Day or score a rare price drop.

But ahead of the Amazon shopping holiday, these early July 4th deals on the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro are already Prime Day-level good.

13-inch MacBook Air with M1, $799 (was $999) at Amazon

While not a new all-time-low, Amazon’s keeping the M1 MacBook Air at the lowest price ever. The entry-level model with the zippy M1 chip, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of solid-state storage is $200 off at $799.99. This version of the MacBook Air keeps the iconic wedge design with a 13-inch Retina display with thicker bezels. But don’t let the classic look fool you, as it’s one of the best values in the world of laptops.

The M1 MacBook Air is powerful, with all-day battery life and the ability to handle work and play tasks easily. This entry-level laptop can even handle 4K video editing and exports. At $799, it’s a steal, and you get your choice of colors: space gray, gold, or silver.

13-inch MacBook Pro with M2, $1,099.99 (was $1,299) at Amazon

The 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 is one of the more unique options in the current Apple lineup. It offers a classic MacBook Pro build with just two USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 ports and packs in the TouchBar. So if you still love Apple’s (AAPL) touch-screen row of function keys or love this design of the MacBook Pro, this deal is for you.

It’s $100 off at $1,099.99 and features the M2 chip with 8GB of RAM and 256GB solid-state-storage. The difference between this and a 13-inch Air is that it has a fan to keep the processor running longer for more advanced tasks.

15-inch MacBook Air with M2, $1,199 (was $1,299) at Amazon

Jacob Krol/TheStreet

The 15-inch MacBook Air only launched earlier this month at Apple’s annual WWDC event, but Amazon is already discounting the big, light laptop. It’s $100 off at $1,199 for the 15-inch Air with an M2 Chip, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB solid-state-storage.

You can see our full review here, but the 15-inch MacBook Air offers an expansive display with plenty of power in an ultra-lightweight design that won’t weigh you down at 3.3 pounds. Like the 13-inch with M2, it comes in four colors--Starlight, Midnight, Silver, Space Gray--and features two USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 ports, a MagSafe port, and a headphone jack. It offers plenty of power in a fanless design and delivers incredible sound from a six-speaker system.

If you’ve been eyeing the 15-inch MacBook Air since it was unveiled or just want a large-screened Apple laptop for less, now’s the time to score one.

14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro, $1,799 (was $1,999) at Amazon

Jacob Krol/TheStreet

If you want a full mobile powerhouse complete with a larger 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display, the 14-inch MacBook Pro is worth consideration. It’s near the lowest price we’ve tracked by $50 and is currently $200 off at just $1,799. For the price, you’re getting a laptop that can go anywhere, last for hours, and deliver tremendous power for everyday tasks and scale to intense creative ones like photo or video editing, along with 3D modeling.

The 14.2-inch display here is buttery smooth thanks to ProMotion, which scales the refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. It also features a notch design with a sharper 1080pHD FaceTime Camera centered at the top. Best of all, you get a MagSafe port, three USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 ports, a headphone jack, an HDMI port, and an SDXC reader for memory cards.

For $1,799 in either Space Gray or Silver, this entry-level model gets you the M2 Pro chip with a 10-Core CPU and 16-Core GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of solid-state-storage.

16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro, $2,299 (was $2,499) at Amazon

Apple

Want all the power that the 14-inch MacBook Pro offers--including all the ports--but with a larger display, look no further than the 16-inch MacBook Pro. It specifically provides a 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display that gives you even more room for work or play tasks while on the go. Mini LEDs power the enhanced Retina display for an immersive visual experience.

Like the 14-inch, the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro is $200 off at $2,299 at Amazon (AMZN) right now.
