Dynasty mode is one of the best parts about College Football 26. It allows you to become the coach of a team of your choosing and lead them through every decision that comes with a college football season. You can recruit players, manage your team on and off the field, and even negotiate your own contract with the school or leave for greener pastures.
However, perhaps the most difficult choice you’ll make during a Dynasty playthrough is where you’re going to be coaching initially. There are plenty of factors that go into choosing a Dynasty school. Do you want to rebuild a team, or do you want to walk into an existing top 25 school? If you’re struggling to make that choice, the CFB 26 community has designed a tool that makes picking your next Dynasty team a much simpler task.
This Tool Helps You Pick The Best Dynasty Team In College Football 26
For starters, we have already covered the best overall Dynasty teams to pick in CFB 26 based on a variety of factors that apply to different types of players. However, there’s a tool out there that allows you to pick the best team for your specific playstyle. You can fully take into account what you look for in a Dynasty school and use this tool to find the exact team that matches up with those preferences.
The tool we’re talking about is a website: collegefootball.gg. Specifically, this website has a few different tools available to fans, and one of them is called “Team Grades.” This section of the site lists every single school available to pick in Dynasty mode and grades them on several different areas, including:
- Academic Prestige
- Athletic Facilities
- Brand Exposure
- Campus Lifestyle
- Championship Contender
- Coach Prestige
- Coach Stability
- Conference Prestige
- Program Tradition
- Stadium Atmosphere

Every team is then given an overall “GPA” that’s determined by averaging out their grades in each of these areas. So, for example, the team with the highest GPA is the University of Georgia, which has a 4.14. This is determined by the fact that UGA has an “A” or “A+” grade in every area except for Academic Prestige, where it was given a “B+.”
On the flip side, the team with the lowest GPA is Kent State, which has a 0.47 after scoring mostly Ds and Fs in every category. You can view how GPA is calculated by scrolling down to the bottom of the Team Grades page on the website. As for why a school is given a particular grade in one category, that comes directly from Dynasty mode in CFB 26.
However, the website does leave out four grades that are available in Dynasty mode. Proximity to Home, Playing Time, Playing Style, and Pro Potential are grades in Dynasty that you won’t see listed on the website. This is due to the fact that these categories are dependent on factors specific to your Dynasty playthrough, so it doesn’t make much sense to include them.
The best way to use this tool is to compare different schools that you’re thinking about using for your Dynasty playthrough. You can easily see categories that are more important to you and see which schools have the top grades in those areas. The tool also lets you more easily see teams right in the middle of the road, which are arguably the best teams to try and rebuild. While a school like Kent State presents the biggest challenge, opting for a school such as Liberty, which has a couple of Bs amongst a sea of Ds and Fs, means you’re not starting from the absolute bottom of the barrel.
Overall, the website can be used however you see fit. If you just want to see the best or worst teams in Dynasty and go from there, you can do that. You can also break things down to a science to determine the overall best team for your playstyle and preferences.
