Chelsea fans react in unison to first half decision in Eintracht Frankfurt clash

Chelsea fans are convinced their side should have had a penalty in the early stages of their clash against Eintracht Frankfurt this evening (Thursday).

The Blues, who went into the second leg level with their German opponents from the first-leg a week ago, believe they should have had a spot kick after just 11 minutes at Stamford Bridge.

Some fine play from Mateo Kovacic and Willian set up Olivier Giroud, before the ball fell the way of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who then went down following a tussle with Danny da Costa.

But despite their appeals, referee Ovidiu Hategan waved play on, much to the amazement of Blues fans on Twitter.

Nevertheless, it was a decision that had the Chelsea fans talking on social media, with many quick to voice their opinions, as can be seen below.

Chelsea did open the scoring in the first half when Loftus-Cheek netted his tenth goal of the season, putting the Blues 2-1 ahead on aggregate against the German side.
