Parents can make sure their kids have kept a promise to clean their teeth, thanks to plaque reveal tablets available at Boots stores.
Its Plaque Reveal tablets, manufactured by TePe, offer a colour-coded indicator to see where more brushing is needed and where there are stubborn stains that need some extra cleaning.
Plaque bacteria needs to be removed regularly to keep teeth and gums healthy.
Boots Expert Plaque Disclosing Tablets use a colouring system to differentiate between newer and older plaque, helping to identify areas that need more brushing.
Red indicates newer plaque and blue older plaque, both have been missed by previous brushing.
Kids chew a tablet and rinse out with water and wait for the results.
Residual red stain indicates newer plaque, whilst a blue stain indicates older plaque that has been missed by previous brushing. Brush teeth again until the staining has gone.
Mums and dads can also buy them on Amazon, and at selected dentist practices too.
