These Arsenal fans are loving what David Luiz and Rob Holding said to each other amid VAR debate

The use of video assistant referees (VAR) is in the spotlight again after another weekend of contentious decisions in the Premier League.

Once again, VAR has been in the news this weekend, with several key decisions in the Premier League being checked by the video assistant referees, including Marcus Rashford's goal for Manchester United against Liverpool and a disallowed goal from Sadio Mane in the same game.

In addition, Burnley had a goal ruled out late on in their 2-1 defeat against Leicester City, while Wolves had two goals disallowed in their 1-1 draw with Southampton.

And VAR was criticised after Tottenham's 1-1 draw with Watford, after the Hornets were denied a penalty at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, before the big screens inside the stadium wrongly stated that Dele Alli's equaliser had not been allowed, when in fact it had.

But Arsenal duo David Luiz and Rob Holding have made light of the debate around VAR with an exchange on social media.

Posting a picture on Instagram from training ahead of the game against Sheffield United this evening (Monday), Luiz sent a message to team-mates Calum Chambers and Holding, which read: "Bye bye young boys."

In response to Luiz's post, which shows Luiz running clear of his team-mates, Holding wrote: "VAR check....false start."

Luiz then responded to the 24-year-old to make light of the situation, writing: "VAR checked again, everything was normal."

And the pair's messages have gone down well with some Arsenal supporters, who have clearly enjoyed seeing the camaraderie among the Gunners' players ahead of the trip to Bramall Lane this evening.

Here's what some Arsenal fans have been saying about the exchange.
