These are the two Nottingham Wetherspoon pubs trialling build your own breakfasts

Pub chain Wetherspoon will be trialling build your own breakfasts at two of its pubs in Nottingham.

Yesterday it was revealed that customers will be able to customise their full English thanks to an app update so if you want no mushrooms and extra hash browns it's not a problem.

'Spoons fans will be able to choose seven items from sausage, Quorn vegan sausage, two slices of bacon, fried egg, two hash browns, baked beans, two flat mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and toast.

But it won't be available everywhere - not just yet anyway.

The service is being trialled at 100 branches and if successful will be rolled out across the country.

Prices start at £3.65, varying from branch to branch.

The two in Nottingham are the Gooseberry Bush, in Peel Street, and the Free Man, in Carlton Hill.

But if there's one request from customers, it's to improve the gluten-free range.

Anita Frost said: "Take off the hash browns. Some gluten free toast and sausages would be good. We get short measures on the GF breakfast."

Wendy Hemworth added: "Use proper sausages, then they are very likely to be gluten free. Keep some gluten free bread or rolls in freezer and you open up a whole new group of clientele. Not rocket science."
