These are the tyres officers found when they stopped a car on the A371.

Avon and Somerset Police arrested a man after stopping a car just before 1am on Sunday, June 21.

The car was stopped on the A371 at Axbridge.

The police force tweeted the car had both offside tyres shredded.

The tweet said: "'That car didn't sound right, let's spin round'.

"Found this morning driving along A371. Both offside tyres shredded. Driver? Yep, you've guessed it.

"Sample of 75 at custody. Charged to Court.Second offence: 3yrs disqual.Don't be this guy!#drivesafedrivesober#DCSamDonati"

In a statement, the police force said a 39-year-old man had since been charged with drink driving.

He has been released on police bail to appear before magistrates Taunton in July, the statement continued.
