These are the roads closed in Nottinghamshire because of flooding

Flooding is causing significant disruption across Notts today, Thursday, November 14, with roads closed following heavy rain.

In the city centre buses are being diverted because of flooding in the Mansfield Road and Shakespeare Street area.

But there are also a number of road closures in the wider county, as follows:

Bestwood: Moor Road (near Goosedale Lane)

Caunton: Ford Lane

Farndon: Chapel Lane

Hockerton: Main Road

Newark: Tinkers Lane

Normanton on Soar: Main Street

Oxton: Blind Lane

Retford: Blackstope Lane, Grove Lane

Shireoaks: Shireoaks Road

Southwell: Nottingham Road (off Westgate past Minster School)

Tollerton: Tollerton Lane (approx. 100m north of Cotgrave Lane)

West Bridgford: Abbey Circus, Gordon Road,

West Drayton: Old London Road

Woodborough: Road closure scheme in effect

The county council said: "As the rain continues to fall across the county, a number of roads have been closed due to flooding.

"Please take care on the roads and never drive through flood water or ignore warning signs."

In addition there are a number of roads which are severely affected but not closed, including Candleby Lane, Plumtree Road and Cotgrave Lane in Cotgrave.

And Worksop Library and Worksop Registration Office remain closed because of earlier flooding.
