These are the people who are most likely to become a knight or a dame - including Susan and Helen

It's one of the highest accolades you can be given for an amazing achievement and something we'd probably all like to get our hands on.

And although being made a knight or a dame isn't the reason we strive to achieve great things, it is something that most of us would secretly love.

Also having people refer to you as 'Sir' or 'Dame' does sound pretty good.

So who is most likely to be on the honours list? 

A study completed by employee engagement and wellness company Perkbox, has revealed the names of people most likely to be knighted or made a dame. 

It looked at all 704 (484 knights, 220 dames) people who have been made a knight or dame over the last 10 years to figure out the names of people most likely to be honoured.

Top eight names of men most likely to be made a knight 

1. David - 40 in the last 10 years 

2. Michael - 24 in the last 10 years 

3. John - 24 in the last 10 years 

4. Richard - 15 in the last 10 years 

5. Robert - 15 in the last 10 years  

6. Peter - 13 in the last 10 years 

7. Christopher - 12 in the last 10 years

8. Paul - 12 in the last 10 years 

Top seven names of women most likely to be made a Dame

1. Susan - 10 in the last 10 years 

2. Janet - 7 in the last 10 years 

3. Frances - 5 in the last 10 years

4. Alison - 4 in the last 10 years 

5. Barbara - 4 in the last 10 years

6. Helen - 4 in the last 10 years 

7. Angela - 4 in the last 10 years 

The study also revealed that only 0.0001 per cent of the population has been awarded the accolade over the last 10 years and looked at which professions received the most accolades.

Top five professions 

1. Public and political services - 149 out of 704, including MPs, Lord Mayors of London and those working in local and national government. 

2. Education - 116 out of 704, including 22 head teachers.  

3. Healthcare - 100 out of 704, including eight nurses. 

4. The Arts - 77 people out of 704, including those who work in drama, music and theatre. 

5. Charity - 75 people out of 704, including those who made donations for nature conservation.
