These are the bus services operating in Edinburgh and the Lothians on Christmas Day

Lothian Buses will continue serving passengers tomorrow who need to hitch a ride in Edinburgh and the Lothians on Christmas Day.

The services aim to provide customers with vital transport links - including to the Royal Infirmary and the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.

On Boxing Day, there will even be  increased early morning services to give shoppers more time to hit the high street, Fort Kinnaird, The Gyle Shopping Centre, Ocean Terminal, Straiton Retail Park and Cameron Toll Shopping Centre.

The Lothians services operating on Christmas Day are:

  • 3 - Clovenstone - Dalkeith Campus or Mayfield
  • 7 - Newhaven - Royal Infirmary
  • 8 - Muirhouse - Western General Hospital - Royal Infirmary
  • 16 - Silverknowes - Colinton
  • 22 - Gyle Centre - Ocean Terminal
  • 26 - Clerwood - Seton Sands/ Tranent
  • 30 - Clovenstone - Musselburgh
  • 34 - Riccarton - Hermiston Park & Ride- Riccarton
  • 37 - Silverknowes - Roslin - Penicuik or Silverknowes - Bush
  • 44 -  Balerno - Wallyford Park & Ride - Wallyford/Whitecraig
  • 100 - Edinburgh Airport - City Centre

West Lothian services

In West Lothian, Lothiancountry will also be operating special timetables on seven services on Christmas Day, which are: 217, 280, 287, X18, X27/X28 and X38.

East Lothian services

In East Lothian, EastCoastbuses services 106, 113 and 124 will be running on Christmas Day providing vital links across the local community.
