These are the 20 Labour MPs who just rebelled against Jeremy Corbyn

On Wednesday Labour voted against George Osborne’s fiscal charter, which introduces a law to ban governments from borrowing money to fund infrastructure, housing or public services during normal times.

A group of 20 MPs from Labour’s right wing however felt they could not vote against the Conservative proposal and instead abstained – handing Jeremy Corbyn his first rebellion as leader.

Unusually, Labour’s whips’ office release a full list of rebels immediately after the vote.

The 20 Labour MPs who rebelled on the charter are:

Rushanara Ali
Ian Austin
Adrian Bailey
Ben Bradshaw
Ann Coffey
Simon Danczuk
Chris Evans
Frank Field
Mike Gapes
Margaret Hodge
Tristram Hunt
Graham Jones
Helen Jones
Liz Kendall
Chris Leslie
Fiona MacTaggart
Shabana Mahmood
Jamie Reed
Graham Stringer
Gisela Stuart

Note: The list originally handed out by the Labour whips' office originally included Oxford MP Andrew Smith - this was a mistake, he did not rebel
