These Are The 2 Designer Bubblies You Need To Wrap Up #NYFW

So you wear designer—but do you sip it?

The below proseccos were crafted by two of fashion’s biggest stars: designer Vera Wang and model Cara Delevingne. Both are crisp, refreshing, as elite as their creators and ideal for wrapping up this year’s long-awaited New York Fashion Week.

Della Vite, by the Delevingne sisters

Today, model and actress Cara Delevingne and her sisters, Chloe and Poppy, are celebrating the launch of their new Italian, vegan prosecco, Della Vite.

The style icons had long been looking for a project to symbolize their bond, and since sharing a glass of prosecco has always been their sisterly ritual, they decided to dive into the world of winemaking and craft their perfect bubbly.

"We’ve spoken about starting a business together for years, but wanted it to be something that was meaningful to each of us, and something we could really get behind," the sisters exclusively told Forbes. "It’s become a bit of a ritual to pop a bottle of Prosecco whenever we’re together, no matter the occasion, so it felt like a very natural fit. We’re all about celebrating together, and that’s really what Della Vite is about. Whether it’s celebrating huge life moments, small intimate moments, happy moments, sad moments, or the moments that you don’t even feel like are moments. It’s about being sisters and being together."

Della Vite, which is Italian for "of the vine" and resembles the founders’ famous last name, is made in a sustainable winery in the Veneto region which uses only local ingredients for farming and operates on solar powered energy. When the liquid is filtered, it is done through a ceramic system, never using draining agents containing animal products. This means the wines are certified vegan.

The Delevingne sisters also made sure to eliminate as much waste as possible by tossing the traditional wine label and instead branding their bottles using a logo made by Poppy and applied directly onto the glass.

"Sustainability is at the core of Della Vite’s values, and it was important to us to find a winery that shared those values," Cara said. "We took our time in finding the perfect partners who understood our vision, and are so proud to have created two exceptional Proseccos that are sustainably produced and certified vegan."

As of today, Sept. 15, anyone can purchase Della Vite Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G (MSRP: $29.99) and Della Vite Prosecco Treviso D.O.C (MSRP: $24.99) through ReserveBar.com.

Della Vite Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G, is made exclusively from handpicked Glera grapes, grown on the upper slopes of the valley of Valdobbiadene. Its tasting notes include aromas of citrus blossom and olive.

"The stony glacial soil, enriching sun and Adriatic breeze provide the environment for a vibrant wine with signature minerality. Rich and extra-dry with a highly mineral palate that lingers, this Prosecco Superiore is characterised by hints of crostini and chamomile," the company said.

Della Vite Prosecco Treviso D.O.C, a refined and versatile wine, is ideal for cocktail mixing and has notes of rich jasmine and lavender perfume. It is the only D.O.C prosecco made using a combination of homemade, natural yeasts.

Both wines go splendidly with fine and soft cheeses, cured meats, seafood, figs, peaches, fruit sorbet, honey, artichoke hearts, olives and fresh salad.

PARTY, by Vera Wang

Vera Wang makes a lot more than show-stopping wedding dresses.

This June, the designer debuted her premium Italian prosecco, Vera Wang PARTY, with the hope of having a delicious, chic bubbly to toast with during life’s big—and small—moments.

The wine is expertly crafted in Piemonte—a region of Italy bordering France and Switzerland, known for its sparkling wines—and Araldica, where some of America’s bestselling Moscato is made.

The winemaking process for PARTY carries a rich heritage, the wine itself is made with fresh, top-quality ingredients straight from the Italian soil and the bottle is chic and fun, like the designer we all know and love.

"When this project first began, we were looking to create a drink for weddings and other celebrations that we thought would be light, would be fun and would imply weddings," Wang said exclusively to Forbes.

But during the coronavirus pandemic, when the famed wedding designer was crafting her wine, she realized big celebrations were at a halt, and what people really needed was a reason to be happy each day.

"As things happened through the pandemic and everything else had happened, we really began to feel that so many people had suffered so much and it felt so sad, not only about what was going on on the planet, but also they had to really cancel their weddings or at least make sure their weddings were pushed way into the future," Wang said.

Though PARTY lovers will still surely enjoy the bubbly at their future weddings, birthday celebrations and soirees, the designer hopes it becomes part of a ritual for people to celebrate the little things and remind themselves that life is good.

"We had no knowledge of what could happen or would happen. Then we thought about it and prosecco is not only about weddings, it's about celebrating life. You could be celebrating by yourself with a party of one, me, or you could be celebrating the small moments of your life, they're important, or daily moments, or even the big events, not simply milestones but every day," Wang added. "That's one of the really grounding points I wanted to connect with people on, that this isn't only for special occasions, right? It's for your life."

Vera Wang PARTY is available for purchase on Drizly and Total Wine.
