These are Nottingham Forest's five best performing players this season

Nottingham Forest are enjoying an impressive season under Sabri Lamouchi so far.

Despite a recent wobble which has seen the Reds go three games without a win, most recently drawing with Middlesbrough earlier this week, Lamouchi's men are in fifth and with a game in-hand.

Forest have a one point lead over those  on the periphery of the top six, and as things stand, should they win their game in-hand, they would shoot up to third in the table.

But who has been most responsible for their rise this season, other than the man in charge?

Lewis Grabban leads the Forest scoring charts with 10 goals, while Sammy Ameobi leads the assists with four.

But neither of them appear in the top five when it comes to the WhoScored ratings.

The stat gurus put together an average score based on all performances, and Samba Sow and Matty Cash come out on top for Forest so far this season with a score of 7.24.

Unsurprisingly, Matty Cash is also up there.

Here's the Reds' top five.

1. Samba Sow - 7.24

- 1. Matty Cash - 7.24

3. Joe Lolley - 7.08

4. Joe Worrall - 6.99

5. Tobias Figueiredo - 6.93]
