These are all the places you can visit for free on St Andrews Day weekend - including Edinburgh Castle

Historic Environment Scotland are once again doing their popular annual ticket giveaway for places to visit on St Andrews Day.

You can save an absolute fortune by entering the ticket giveaway, with a number of places on offer for you to see this St Andrews Day Weekend (November 30 - December 1) There are even places to visit as far afield as Orkney, as well as much closer to home.

A ticket to Edinburgh Castle usually costs £19.50 for adults and £11.50 for children, so it's a considerable saving.

Here are all the places you can visit in Edinburgh and the Lothians - and beyond.
