Pressure is intensifying on Theresa May to step down as Prime Minister as Brits head to vote in the European elections.
The government was today forced to postpone the vote on Mrs May’s Withdrawal Agreement Bill amid a furious Brexit backlash among Tory MPs which included the resignation of Commons leader Andrea Leadsom.
The EU vote is expected to be disastrous for the Conservatives.
Mrs May will meet Sir Graham Brady, chair of the influential 1922 Committee of Tory backbench MPs, on Friday morning for a meeting which could ultimately seal her fate.
