Theresa and Philip May were booed, heckled and greeted with shouts of "vote Labour!" as they took a trip to a meat market.
The prime minister and her husband visited Smithfields market, London's biggest meat market, at 5.30am on the last day of campaigning before the election.
As the couple walked around, they were greeted by shouts of "vote Labour" and "end police cuts". There was also continual booing and shouting as Ms May toured the market.
Keen shoppers looking for a bargain in the early morning gathered around as it became clear the prime minister was also in the market. Ms May posed for selfies with butchers wearing their bloodied white coats.
Theresa May will spend the final day before polls open making a last dash across the midlands to try and pick up votes. She is also taking criticism for having suggested that she will rip up important human rights protections in an attempt to stop terrorism.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn will attend six rallies from Glasgow in the north to London in the south via North Wales.
