There Will Be Lies by Nick Lake - review

Nick Lake, There Will Be Lies

This book did not grab me at first due to the way it was written i.e the narrator spoke as though she was directly talking to me by saying things such as "you know" or the way abbreviations such as "BTW" were used.

However, as the story unfolded, I grew to really enjoy this style of writing as it made it feel so much more personal to me and not as though it was just another book which has been read by thousands of pairs of eyes.

The multiple plot twists really drew me in and I felt as though they were extremely fitting to the slogan of "there will be two lies, and then there will be the truth".

Although the truth was hard to handle, it made for an emotional ending and gave the perfectly unexpected ending to a perfectly unpredictable book.
