Eddie Howe is the new head coach of Newcastle United and becomes the man in the dugout following the Saudi-led takeover of the club.
The former Bournemouth manager has signed a two-and-half-year deal having been out of work since leaving the South Coast side back in August 2020.
The 42-year-old had been linked to Newcastle back in April but Mike Ashley decided to stick with Steve Bruce who then led the side to safety. But following a poor start to the 2021-22 season and the club being taken over, Bruce left his role and following weeks of interviews, Howe has been appointed.
Andrew Musgrove is joined by Lee Ryder, Mark Douglas and Matthew Ketchell on The Everything is Black and White Podcast to discuss the appointment of Howe, and talk about the new head coach's strategy, the tough job ahead and the reaction of fans.
Speaking about the confirmation, Musgrove said: "I'm loving the positivity [from the fans] which has come with this announcement.
"Yes, you've got the clarity but there's so much positivity in the comments and across social media - that wave riding into Brentford is going to be absolutely brilliant."
